General Responsibility

To ensure that all product is delivered in a safe, accurate and timely manner. Our drivers strive to provide retailers with the highest levels of customer service.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Has working knowledge of the entire portfolio of brands.
  • Performs daily truck inspection and makes any necessary maintenance improvements prior to leaving the warehouse.
  • Prior to leaving the warehouse, accurately counts and verifies loaded packages and product quantities on assigned vehicle with warehouse personnel.
  • Parks in proper locations while delivering to an account.
  • Announces self and establishes a positive relationship with each retailer.
  • Using safe lifting techniques, unloads and delivers all products on customers invoice to proper location.
  • Verifies delivered packages and quantities with the retailer.
  • Rotates all product into stock.
  • When necessary, merchandises account with current POS (e.g. table tents, banners, case cards, etc.)
  • Picks up product in an account for which a credit ticket was issued.
  • Collects on bad check in a timely manner when necessary.
  • Collects accurate payments and ensures the invoice is signed by the retailer.
  • Upon returning to the warehouse, accurately counts and verifies returned packages and quantities on assigned vehicle with warehouse personnel.
  • Ensures that all delivery time windows are met.
  • Ensures that all product is delivered, and all accounts are serviced on their scheduled day.
  • Creates and maintains positive and open lines of communication between all working departments.
  • Works to resolve all customer complaints within 24 hours and ensure that there are no reoccurring problems.
  • Maintains appropriate appearance and wears uniform.
  • Attends all meetings, promotional activities and company functions when requested.
  • Promotes responsible consumption throughout the marketplace.
  • Performs any other necessary duties as directed by management
Job Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, driving evaluation, work history verification, driving record review and criminal background check.

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to do the following stand, sit, walk; use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear. Occasionally required to climb ladders while performing duties. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of product and occasionally lift and/or move up to 160 pounds. And occasional moving of up to 350lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the environment is normally mild to moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
